Knife Sharpening service is offered twice a month. You may drop off your knives by 6:00 PM on Thursday and pick them up on Friday at 11:00 AM.
Knives are sharpened on the premises at Cooking Uptown.

Thursday, March 1st Pro Chef's Bryan Diliberto works his magic on-site to provide the very best knife edge available in Charlotte. He recommends professional sharpening every 12 - 18 months with regular home use. More often if you are a professional chef or if you use your knives as often as one.
We can show you how to use a sharpening steel to keep knife edges honed between professional sharpenings. Our "Professional Knife Skills" classes are offered monthly to teach everything from slicing to chiffonade. You'll also learn how to store, care for, and select knives that match your needs. The standard sharpening cost for a traditional culinary knife is $7.00 per blade. If additional repair is required, the cost will be more. Additional rates will be applied for scissor sharpening, re-serrating, repairing tip, chip or bolster and repairing other knife defects.
In addition, a late pickup fee will be applied if your knives are left with us for more than 7 days after they are sharpened. For every 7 days there will be an additional $5.00 fee, for example, if knives are ready on the 10th and they are picked up on the 17th. If they are not picked up until the 24th, the additional fee equals $10 and so on.
You pay for knife sharpening when you pick them up.
